Why this matters
  • It is the gap Cyber Essentials leaves. All five Cyber Essentials controls are technical: firewalls, secure settings, access control, malware protection and updates. None of them covers the person who types their password into a convincing fake login page. Certification hardens the kit. This covers the people using it.
  • UK GDPR Article 32 requires appropriate organisational measures to keep personal data safe, and staff training is the organisational measure regulators look for. The ICO regularly points to inadequate training when it takes enforcement action after a breach.
  • ISO 27001 names it outright. Awareness, education and training is control 6.3 in Annex A of the 2022 standard, so if you are working towards certification you need evidence the training happened, not an intention to run some.
  • Cyber insurers ask. Awareness training and phishing simulation appear on most proposal forms and some policies make them a condition of cover. A no can raise your premium or your excess, and at claim time the insurer will ask what you had in place.
  • Your customers ask too. Security questionnaires from larger clients and public sector tenders want to know whether you run it and how often. A documented programme with completion reports answers the question in one line.

  • Minimum one hour, then charged in half hours.
  • A half day is up to 4 hours, a full day up to 8. A day is priced at seven hours, so booking one is cheaper than booking the hours.
  • Travel is included within 50 miles of whichever of our Coventry and Salisbury bases is nearer to you, then 55p a mile at the HMRC approved rate. We have engineers at both, so nobody is driving across the country to you.
  • Evenings and Saturdays are charged at 1.5 times, Sundays and bank holidays at double.
  • Essentials and Pro include reactive onsite support, and Pro adds a scheduled visit every month.

Charged per visit, so it is not in the monthly total above.

FAQ

Before you send it.

Am I committing to anything by signing up here?

No. Nothing is charged and no contract starts when you submit this page. It tells us what you are after and roughly how big you are, so the person who rings you already knows the shape of it. We confirm the counts, send the agreement, and only then does anything begin.

Is there a setup or onboarding fee?

No. Getting you onto a plan costs nothing: the audit, the agent rollout, the documentation and the handover from whoever looks after your IT now are all part of the monthly price. The only things quoted on top are one-off projects that are not onboarding, such as an office move, a server migration or a cabling job, and you would know about those before we started.

What happens after I submit?

Your order lands with us straight away and someone rings you within one business day. We check the device and user counts are right, talk through anything that needs a quote rather than a fixed price, and agree a start date. Onboarding usually takes a week from the day you say yes.

Are these prices per month or one-off?

Every price on this page is per month and excludes VAT, apart from Netix Presence which is billed at £60 a month including VAT. Remote runs for three months and then rolls monthly. Essentials and Pro run for twelve months. Hardware and one-off projects are quoted separately, and onsite visits are charged at the published hourly or daily rate.

What is a device and what is a user?

A device is a computer we look after: a laptop, a desktop or a Mac. A user is a person with a work email address. They are often the same number, but not always, which is why Essentials and Pro are split into a per-device rate and a per-user rate. Remote is priced on devices alone.

Can I start with Remote and move up later?

Yes, and plenty of people do. Remote is the cheapest way to get proper cover on the computers, and everything Essentials includes can be bolted on to Remote one piece at a time. When the bolt-ons add up to more than the difference, we move you to Essentials rather than letting you overpay.

Why do some things say "to quote" instead of a price?

Because the honest answer depends on your building, your team or your kit. Cabling, CCTV, meeting rooms, broadband and leased lines need a survey, a line check or a proper scope before a number means anything, and a guess helps nobody. Tick them and we put a real number to them.
