Why the West Midlands

The local picture, written by people who actually live here.

The West Midlands is the second-biggest economy in England. Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall, plus everything in between. Around 4.5 million people and a lot of SMEs. We're in Coventry city centre, on the east side of it.

Every bit of the area is different. Coventry is automotive R&D, battery tech and the two universities. Solihull is professional services and the NEC corridor. Birmingham itself runs the gamut: finance and law in Colmore Row, manufacturing in Tyseley, agencies in the Jewellery Quarter. The Black Country (Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall) is heavier on engineering, logistics and family businesses.

We work across all of it. The kit we deploy is the same everywhere: SentinelOne and Huntress for security, Microsoft 365 with Intune and Entra ID for productivity, Cisco Meraki or TP-Link Omada for networking. What changes is how we configure it. Manufacturers want operational tech kept separate from the office network and downtime measured in minutes. Finance firms want Cyber Essentials Plus and MFA actually enforced. Creative studios want big-file collaboration and Macs alongside Windows. Same team, one bill, one quarterly review.

FAQ

Common questions from the West Midlands businesses.

Are you actually based in the West Midlands?

Yes. We work out of Coventry city centre, which is the east side of the West Midlands. So no, not Birmingham itself, but we can be on-site anywhere across the area the same day.

Which West Midlands towns do you cover for on-site work?

Coventry (walking distance), Solihull, Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall, West Bromwich, Halesowen, Stourbridge, Kingswinford. From a few minutes (Coventry, Solihull) to about an hour (the far end of the Black Country). Remote support is the same wherever you are.

Do you support businesses in the Birmingham Business Park or NEC corridor?

Yes. We work with several firms in B37 and B40 and the run from Coventry is easy via the M6 or A45. About 25 to 30 minutes door-to-door.

How do you compare to the larger Birmingham MSPs?

Same security kit (SentinelOne, Huntress, Microsoft Defender, Entra ID) as the big firms run. Difference is we're smaller, so you get direct access to the engineers, not an offshore call-centre. For 10 to 250 users we tend to be a better fit than a 200-person MSP.

Can you help with FCA or PCI compliance in the West Midlands?

Yes for FCA work (we run security ops for several regulated finance firms across Solihull and Colmore Row), and PCI DSS readiness for retail and hospitality. We are not a QSA, so we will not sign your PCI attestation, but we will do the technical fixes and the readiness review.
