Know where every van is, and how it is being driven.

Teltonika trackers and cameras in the vehicles, the Netix Telematics platform on your desk and in your pocket, and the same team that runs your IT looking after all of it.

Why it matters

The fleet is the business. Most owners are guessing at it.

Where the vans are right now, whether the morning's jobs are on track, who is nearest to the emergency call: most small fleets answer those with a phone round. Tracking answers them from one map, on your desk or your phone, without anyone having to pick up.

Then there is the day something happens. A car park knock nobody saw, a speeding notice for a van three people drive, a timesheet that does not match the diary. A tracker with a camera turns each of those from an argument into a record.

How it fits together

In the van, on the map, in your pocket.

What you get

A map, a record, and evidence when you need it.

The tracker answers where and when. The camera answers what happened. The platform keeps both where you can find them.

The Fleet

  • Geofence, speed and after-hours alerts
  • Driver scores, ID and automatic timesheets
  • Reports you can export to a spreadsheet
The Cameras
  • Forward and driver-facing recording
  • Clips kept on impact or harsh braking
  • Live view and footage on request
  • Driver privacy and retention built in

Geofence alert 07:42

Van 4 left the depot. First job is the Rugby site, 24 minutes away on the current route.

Event clip kept 14:06

Harsh braking on the A45, van 2. Forward and cab clips uploaded, 20 seconds either side.

What is included

From the tracker in the cab to the report on your desk.

Live Tracking and History

Every vehicle on one map, updating as it moves, with the day's trips, stops and idling behind it. Find the nearest van to a job, or see what happened on Tuesday.

  • Live map on desk and phone
  • Trip and stop history per vehicle
  • Nearest vehicle to an address
Live every vehicle, one map

Geofences and Alerts

Draw a fence round the depot, a customer site or a county line, and get told when a vehicle crosses it. Speeding, after-hours movement and long idling raise alerts too.

  • Fences round sites and areas
  • Speed and after-hours alerts
  • Routed to the person who cares
Alerts by app, email or text

Dash Cam and Driver-Facing Cameras

Teltonika DualCam records the road and the cab. An impact or harsh braking keeps a clip around the moment; live view and footage on request cover the rest. Evidence for the claim, not a spy in the cab.

  • Forward and driver-facing
  • Event clips uploaded automatically
  • Access logged, retention set
Clips kept when it matters

Driver Behaviour Scores

Harsh braking, acceleration, cornering and speeding scored per driver and per trip, so a quiet word is based on the data rather than a hunch, and the careful drivers get noticed too.

  • Braking, acceleration, cornering
  • Speed against the limit
  • Trends, not one bad Monday
Scored per driver, per trip

Driver ID and Timesheets

Drivers identify with a fob or the app, so the platform knows who was in which vehicle. Mileage, start and finish times and site visits fall out of that automatically.

  • Fob or app driver ID
  • Business and private mileage
  • Exports for payroll and HMRC
Auto mileage and timesheets

Vehicle Health and Faults

Where the vehicle supports it, the tracker reads odometer, fuel, engine hours and fault codes from the CAN bus, so services are booked on real mileage and a warning light is known about before the driver mentions it.

  • Odometer and engine hours
  • Fault codes as they appear
  • Service reminders on real mileage
CAN data where available

Hardware and Installation

Teltonika trackers, hardwired or plug-in, and cameras, fitted by us at your yard or a site you choose. The tracker SIM is a multi-network roaming SIM, on the same bill as your mobiles.

  • Hardwired or OBD plug-in
  • Teltonika DualCam where wanted
  • Multi-network roaming SIM

The Netix Telematics Platform

One platform on the web and as an app, with roles for owners, the office and drivers, reports you can export to a spreadsheet, and the same helpdesk as the rest of your IT when something needs looking at.

  • Roles for owner, office, driver
  • Reports and spreadsheet exports

Who it is for

Anyone whose vans are the day's work.

Trades and installers with a handful of vans and a diary that changes by the hour. Couriers and local logistics who need to tell a customer where the delivery is. Hire companies and plant operators who need to know where the asset went and who had it. Care and community transport, where the route and the driver are a duty of care as much as a schedule.

It sits alongside the rest of what we run for you: the tracker SIMs are on the same bill as your Business Mobiles, and the same helpdesk picks up when a unit needs looking at.

  1. Survey the fleet

Which vehicles, what you want to know about them, and whether cameras are part of it.

  2. Fit the kit

Trackers and cameras fitted at your yard, usually a vehicle at a time so nothing stops working.

  3. Set up the platform

Geofences, alerts, driver IDs, users and the privacy policy for the drivers, agreed with you.

  4. Run it

We monitor the hardware and the SIMs. You watch the fleet.

Drivers and privacy

Tracking people's working day brings obligations. We build to them.

Worth knowing before you buy: a tracker and an in-vehicle camera collect personal data about your drivers, so the set-up includes the paperwork as well as the hardware. Drivers are told what is collected and why, in a written policy that is part of the handover. The lawful basis is documented under UK GDPR. Vehicles that go home at night get a private mode. Footage and location history are kept for the retention period we agree and no longer, and every view of a clip is logged. We are installers rather than your legal advisers, but we design to these requirements and will tell you when something you ask for would not stand up.

FAQ

Common questions about vehicle tracking.

What hardware do you fit?

Teltonika trackers, which are the workhorse of the industry: a small unit hardwired to the vehicle, or a plug-in unit for the OBD port where a quick fit matters more than concealment. For cameras we fit Teltonika DualCam, a forward and driver-facing pair that records to the tracker, or a compatible dash cam where you want a screen in the cab. We choose per vehicle after the survey rather than fitting one thing everywhere.

Will it work on our vehicles?

Almost certainly. Cars, vans, light commercials and plant with a 12 or 24 volt supply are all covered, and the units do not depend on the manufacturer. Some newer vehicles need care over where the tracker draws power so it does not trip a battery warning; that is exactly what the survey is for.

How do the cameras work and who sees the footage?

The camera records continuously to the unit in the vehicle. When something happens (an impact, harsh braking, a button press) a clip around that moment is uploaded and kept on the platform, and you can pull live view or footage on request for a specific time. Only the people you give access to can see it, every view is logged, and footage is kept only for the retention period we agree at set-up.

What about driver privacy?

Tracking and in-vehicle cameras collect personal data, so the set-up includes the paperwork as well as the kit: a written policy that tells drivers what is collected and why, a lawful basis documented under UK GDPR, a private mode for vehicles that go home at night, and retention periods set and stuck to. We design to those obligations and we will tell you if something you ask for would not stand up.

Which SIMs are in the trackers, and do they work in poor signal areas?

Multi-network roaming SIMs, the same ones we run for sensors and payment terminals. The tracker connects to whichever UK network is strongest where it is, rather than being tied to one, and the unit stores its positions when there is no signal at all and sends them when it reconnects, so a rural stretch does not leave a hole in the day.

How is it priced and what is the contract?

A tracker, and a camera if you want one, per vehicle, fitted once. Then a monthly fee per vehicle that covers the Netix Telematics platform, the SIM and support, on a term we agree for the fleet. We quote after a short survey of the vehicles and what you want to know about them, because the answer for three vans is not the answer for thirty.

Survey first, quote after

Stop ringing round to find out where the vans are.

A short call about the fleet, what it does all day and what keeps going wrong. You leave with the kit we would fit, whether cameras earn their place, and a per-vehicle price you can put next to the cost of not knowing.
